Today we will learn how to read diagram symbols to support your understanding of written instructions and filet crochet, how to calculate sizing, and how to create gaps within treble stitches to form a pattern. We'll start with how to crochet the foundation row combined with the chain for easier working and a neater cuff and hem edge, increasing on sleeves to form shaping. You'll be able to select from 3 sleeve lengths and we'll look at ways to secure your tail end – crochet in as you go or sewing/weaving in.
We work on the sleeves today, creating the foundation chain for the framework of rows and selecting the sleeve length and calculating the sizing. We’ll also look at jumper assembly, how to sew or crochet the sections together, including blocking techniques.
