Always wanted to learn how to crochet but never got round to it? Take some time out from the hustle and bustle of daily life and join Emma on this relaxing weekend retreat dedicated to beginner’s crochet. With a maximum of 10 participants, you will have plenty of time to ask all those crochet questions you always wanted to know the answers to!

Skill level: Complete beginners and those wishing to improve upon their basic skills.
Techniques covered: The three basic stitches: double crochet, half treble and treble, how to do the classic granny square and how to straight edges, changing colours and joining squares.
What to bring: Crochet hook (4mm), a yarn needle, and scissors. For the second part of the course you will need to bring a selection of acrylic double knit yarn in a minimum of 4 colours of your choosing.
Check in to your room from 3pm. Get to know your expert, retreat manager and fellow crafters over dinner this evening.

The weekend begins with learning to crochet in rows using the three basic stitches (double crochet, half treble and treble) before embarking on the classic granny square. You will learn how to achieve perfect straight edges – no more wonky scarves!
