Join Karin Hellaby on a visit to the Brno Patchwork Meeting, the largest show of combined textile techniques in Central and Eastern Europe. You’ll also capture the charms of the Czech Republic as you explore the cities of Prague and Brno, and enjoy two full-day hand-sewing workshops with Karin during your stay.

Workshop information Titled 'Spring Flowers', the hand sewing project will reflect the season and our surroundings, you will be able to use Karin's design or create your own, using different stitching techniques and colour.

After breakfast, we will take a short transfer into Prague to enjoy a walking tour. Uncover the history of this city as you capture the highlights with a local guide. Spend the rest of the day at leisure to further explore Prague or relax at the hotel and continue with your project.

This morning, we will check out of our hotel in Prague and drive to Brno. On route to Brno we will stop at the newly established Museum Ostrov Lidovych Kroju. This museum houses Czech Republic Folk costumes for women, men and children, along with an impressive collection of embroidered ribbons and cutwork. Some of the costumes here are over 200 years old! We then continue our journey to Brno. Upon arrival in Brno, we will check in to our hotel before venturing into the city for a walking tour. This evening is at leisure.
Since 2023, the Prague Patchwork Meeting has been hosted in Brno. It is the largest show of combined textile techniques in Central and Eastern Europe. A truly international experience with exhibitors from across the world and more than 900 collections of quilts. There is plenty to see and do for quilters of all levels and experience.
Another full-day hand-sewing workshop with Karin Hellaby at your hotel in Brno. Dinner is included this evening.
This morning, if you have booked the flight-inclusive package, we will transfer to Prague Airport for our return flight to London.
If you are booked our join direct package, your tour ends after breakfast.
Tour Notes: You will need to have a reasonable level of fitness to get the most out of this holiday. On excursion days you will need to walk a short distance from the hotel to the coach and you should be able to board the coach unaided. On arrival at the excursion destination, you should be able to alight the coach unaided and there may be a walk between the coach drop off point and the excursion venue. By their nature, walking tours, museum visits etc involve being on your feet for a significant amount of time. Whilst our excursions are taken at a leisurely pace, for the enjoyment of everyone in the group you should be able to keep up with your fellow travellers.
You will stay for three nights at the Hotel Duo and three nights at the Barcelo Brno Palace.
